In this darkly comedic musical revue, Stephen Sondheim (music and lyrics) and John Weidman (book) explore nine individuals who attempted to assassinate U.S. presidents. While only some succeeded, all made their mark on history. The show suggests that these troubled figures weren’t driven by political motives, but by a deep sense of entitlement and disillusionment with the American Dream. Through a mix of musical styles and theatrical twists, Assassins examines their twisted journeys, culminating in the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
